Create assets when featured in Apple Music playlists with Console

Console provides an easy-to-use template to create social posts if your artist is featured in an Apple Music playlist. You can access Console in the Marketing Tools section at the bottom of the Marketing page in Apple Music Connect. 

Creating assets in Console

  1. Go to the Console home page.
  2. Under “Create Assets for,” click Song in a Playlist.
  3. Under Template Bundles, click Song in a Playlist.
  4. Choose the content you want to create an asset for in Console.
    1. Name the asset. This will help you find it in the Console Asset Library. We recommend using the artist name and playlist name.
    2. Select the storefront from the dropdown menu.
    3. Select the locale from the dropdown menu. Note: Locales are based on storefronts. For example, French is an available locale in both the France and Canada storefronts.
  5. Customize your asset.
    1. Select the Apple Music logo color from the dropdown menu.
    2. Add the playlist URL or ID to locate the Apple Music playlist where your artist is featured. You can also type the name of the playlist in this field to find it.
    3. Playlist name is automatically generated and should not be changed.
    4. Select the playlist artwork version you want to use.
    5. Add the song URL or ID of your artist’s featured content.
    6. Song name is automatically generated. Add line breaks as needed.
    7. Artist name is automatically generated. Add line breaks as needed.
    8. Song artwork is automatically generated but can be overridden if needed.
    9. Customize the background and text colors as desired.
    10. End card copy and playlist text are automatically generated and should not be changed.
  6. Choose a campaign. You can associate your asset with a campaign in Console if you have one.
  7. Create affiliate links to generate a sharable URL for your asset. Note: Some of the content may already be automatically generated based on your prior playlist and song selections.
    1. Content resource for playlists: Type the name of the playlist in this field if it is blank.
    2. Content resource for songs: Type the name of the song in this field if it is blank.
    3. Affiliate token: Select your label’s affiliate token from the dropdown menu.
    4. Campaign token, Figaro ITSCG, and Figaro ITSCT: Do not change.
  8. Choose asset sizes to generate. We recommend leaving all sizes selected.
  9. Click Generate Assets.

Once your assets are rendered, you’ll be directed to the Asset Library where you can download one or all of your assets and copy the sharable links. You can find all of the assets you’ve created in the Asset Library. Search by asset name and click Details to access the individual assets for a prior promotion.
